About Us
From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a carpenter. One of my earliest memories is building a coffee table for my nan — a project I was incredibly proud of. But life had other plans. At 16, I joined the British Army and served in the Army Catering Corps, dedicating years to cooking for Her Majesty’s forces.
After hanging up my spatula, I returned to my first love: woodwork. With the support of my wonderful wife and business partner, Karen I turned my hobby into a full-time business — Moosewood Furniture.
Working with wood is deeply rewarding. Much like cooking, it’s about crafting something with care and pride. I especially love creating live edge wood tables – each piece is one-of-a-kind, and using reclaimed timber means every creation has a story and a second life.
My mission is simple: to deliver the kind of quality I’d expect as a Moosewood customer. I carry with me the values instilled during my military service — the three words that guide everything I do:
